1 Dec 2008
It is finally December -- the last month of the year. Technically, it is still fall, but, with snow storms coming our way, it certainly does not feel like fall anymore. When the temperature is below 0 Celsius, it just feels like winter!
On Friday, November 28th, I went to the Eaton Centre, The Bay on Queen Street, Yonge-Dundas Square and Nathan Phillips Square. The Christmas trees are up, and except for Nathan Phillips Square, they were well lit up. The tree at Nathan Phillips Square was lit on Saturday, so, I will go down there in the coming week and will have my camera going again. I emailed many of you the link to my photo album. If I have missed you, please let me know, and I will send it to you.
Every December, it is also an opportunity for me to reminisce of the year gone by. I think about my friends and what a blessing they are. I am grateful for my family, especially my mom, without whom I would not be having a birthday in December -- LOL. I also started the KaTsZoNe newsletter in December and this year, it will be going into the fifth year. I just went back to take a look at it and hope you will too. I sent the first issue out and then, then, the next day, I sent out another issue. If you think that was enthusiasm, or over-enthusiasm, in fact, I think it had more to do with the fact that I didn't realize I could pull together two pages at one time -- I know, it sounds rather silly, which is what I thought at the time too. So, take a look at Volume 1 and Volume 2 and my thoughts on shopping, Christmas tea and more. Guess some things haven't changed much. And, thank goodness other things do change, which is why I hope you will continue to KaTsZoNe each month. And, I do want to thank you all for your support and wonderful comments.
In the past month, I made some updates on the website. I have added a Calendar feature where I will mark down various events taking place in Toronto. I am not going to list ALL events happening in Toronto - that would be too much! There's only one of me to go around! However, I do have some favourites, so, I hope you will check out my calendar from time to time. If it is in my calendar, there is a possibility that I may attend the event.
Looks like I'll be keeping it short this month. I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about after the holidays!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays!
