Hope you've all had a great June. Summer has finally arrived, although for Canada Day today, it's a bit windy and cool in Toronto, however, hot weather is arriving soon!
I've had a pretty quiet June -- did not venture faraway, but, after being constantly sunburned, I was more of an armchair traveller. Got a new little netbook and finally got a new tv! Our old tv has really had it! It's so sad, but, I'm enjoying the new one. So, during my armchair travels this past month, I'm doing the usual Facebook surfing -- living vicariously through my friends and hoping that some are finally enjoying their break from school. It's so crazy having a Blackberry and a netbook -- it means instant updates from Facebook! I'm shaking my head as I write this. LOL. Well, I must say, with friends living out of town, it gives me a bit of comfort to know how they are all doing. A couple friends plan to move, some are job hunting, some are enjoying time with their newborns (and I love seeing photos of them!), and some friends/relatives are travelling (love those photos too!). I am happy to hear what my friends and loved ones are up to. So, with a smaller, lighter laptop, I am thrilled to be free to move about with it and not have it weigh down on my legs! Having a Blackberry is great, but, it has limitations compared to a laptop, when it comes to surfing the net. I also got rid of my archaic "dial up" internet -- hooray for mobile internet which I can use anywhere cell phones can get a signal. How awesome is that?
How many of you are watching World Cup Soccer? I'm enjoying that and more on my new tv. I have not watched as much compared to previous years. Now that the end is almost near, I'm routing for Brazil! Whatever happens, I think T.O. has already caught soccer fever and will celebrate hard in the end.
I've had a lot of restful, quiet time and will be going back to work on July 5th. I'm looking forward to getting into a routine again, although I will miss Dr. Oz -- LOL. Then again, I'm sure I can catch him also in the evenings. I've adopted some health advice from Dr. Oz, so, hopefully I will continue my life journey in a positive direction.
Going to keep this episode of KaTsZoNe short, but, before I leave you all, just wanted to let you know that I have decided to keep the KaTsZoNe newsletters going on this current site. Glad to say, my domain has been renewed for another year and www.katszone.com will not change, so, keep those pens, pads, calendar magnets and tote bags! If I change the host, I will be able to maintain my website name. It might not mean much to you, but, guess what? Katszone is ME and I am Katszone. I will write more about that in the near future.
Those of you who live in Ontario and British Columbia, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) hits those provinces on July 1st. For information about the HST and a list of goods and services to which it applies, in Ontario, go to http://www.rev.gov.on.ca/en/taxchange/taxable.html. In British Columbia, go to http://hst.blog.gov.bc.ca/ and http://hst.blog.gov.bc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/GST_PST_HST_List_v04.pdf.
Can't wait to bring you another episode of KaTsZoNe next month!
Enjoy July and have a safe summer!
